With the rain pouring over Loch Awe, the visibility was a bit worse than Scotch mist. However, the scene it created was phenomenal. The view was vast, with this composition representing a small part of it. I love just how subtle the dynamic range is along with the lack of contrast.
Believe it or not, this is a colour photograph. This biggest change to this image was to crop it to 16 x 9. I felt that the extra sky added nothing to the composition and think that the aspect ratio matches the scene. I like the patches of rain scattered across the loch, I think this adds more dimension to the image.
