As the winter’s evening draws in on Exmoor, there is silence and thick fog as I make my way back to the car. In the distance I hear another car before seeing the headlights emerge out of the bleakness. I just had time to capture a couple of frames before it had passed. Being on the moors or in the middle of nowhere when it is quiet and foggy is beautifully peaceful. Although, if you got lost or were not prepared it could get worrying fast.
I initially shot this a little wider but cropped it to simplify the composition. I felt doing so added a little more mystery and made the image stronger.
