I love the shape of this granite rock formation at Great Staple Tor on Dartmoor. It reminds me a little of the Sphinx. The rocks from this angle are often overlooked by photographers. Many use the other side of it as a starting point for their composition of the more familiar stones on the tor.
I love the subtle tones in the rocks of the sunset ebbing below the horizon in the distance. I wish there were an elevated point to show the expanse beyond the rocks to the south.
