I love taking photos of Great Staple Tor, especially in good light. On this occasion the light was phenomenal, as it dappled the granite rocks on the tor and the ground around them. I was initially too busy taking in and taking photos of the bank of fog poised on Hessary Tor. The sunset itself wasn’t that amazing at first; When I turned to photograph the iconic granite rock formations, I saw the most colourful and dramatic scene before me. It didn’t last for that long but showed just how dramatically the golden hour light can change a scene.
The moor was spectacular
The moor was spectacular as the day faded and a very long day taking photos drew to a close. Between the fog, the beautiful River Teign and Great Staple Tor Dartmoor had blessed me with some amazing scenes to capture.
