I have spent many an early morning enjoying the serene vibe that Clovelly oozes but rarely in the evening. This photo of the harbour is from yesterday between rain showers. Despite the weather the harbour is still beautiful; even on a wintry evening. If anything I think there is something more to the place when it isn’t bustling with people. I like this this scene; I think it is really peaceful and almost melancholic, as the day slips away and evening takes hold.
The weather played ball
My daughter and I got lucky; the weather played ball for an hour with only minor showers. Once we got back to the car after the long slog up Clovelly’s cobblestone hill the heavens pretty much opened leaving me feeling lucky to have avoided being totally drenched.
