I have spent a lot of time photographing Dartmoor of late so went to Exmoor for a change. I ended up on Winsford Hill photographing the trees with my son, who was chuffed to see the Exmoor ponies. The weather began to draw in over the moor as forecast and the hill was engulfed by thick fog, which made the trees take on a whole new mood. What I really liked was that because we were looking down hill, there was literally nothing visible beyond the trees. I kept the image colour and love the subtle tones of the moorland grass and bracken that covers Winsford Hill.
